Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Review

Pokemon gamers initially experienced Pokemon Ruby Version and Pokemon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the GBA. Now, a new generation of Pokemon people can experience the storyline that unfolds in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire developed by “Game Freak”. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will take you on a journey like no other as you collect, battle and trade Pokémon while trying to stop a shadowy group with plans to ruin the Hoenn region forever. In your adventure, you will meet Legendary Pokémon and battle against evil organizations intent on their own aims! Take a journey through the Hoenn region, where two large organizations with opposing aims are locked in struggle: Team Magma and Team Aqua. In Pokémon Omega Ruby, Team Magma will seize more power to achieve its goals; Team Aqua plays the more prominent role in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. Their contrary purposes lead them to clash bitterly. In order to achieve their plans they chase after two ancient powerful Pokémon: Groudon (Team Magma) and Kyogre (Team Aqua).

One of the major additions to the games comes in the form of brand new Mega Evolutions. Running with the same concept that was introduced in the last pair of titles(Pokémon X&Y), Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire build upon the premise of further evolving monsters that were previously believed to have reached their final forms. The third evolutionary stage for each starter Pokémon (Sceptile, Swampert and Blaziken) all have Mega Evolutions this time around, and – although Mega Blaziken was previously established in other games – pushing those starters past their preset limits adds a nice bit of newness to the familiar adventure. Not content with just sticking to new Megas, Game Freak has introduced a new temporary evolution in the form of Primal Reversion. Both Kyogre and Groudon can utilize this technique to become Alpha and Omega-branded versions of themselves, respectively.
